It would be an understatement to say SeatGeek is on a roll. the Ticket Forecaster are on fire is a more fitting description. Barely half a year since their huge infusion of VC cash, SeatGeek has done it again, this time with a celebrity. Ashton Kutcher and Guy Oseary of A Grade Investments have just plopped down a generous undisclosed amount. This in the wake of new partnerships with The Wall Street Journal, Yahoo! Sports, and sports news site Bleacher Report. The cherry on top of all this progress would be SeatGeek’s integration with FanVenues, which allows sports and music fans to scout for choice seating in a venue.
Fanvenues is indeed a plum asset for SeatGeek since users not onyl have a great list of ticket rates to choose from, but the ability to choose the best view of a stage or basketball court thanks to FanVenues’ 3D technology. Little wonder then that Fanvenues has dubbed itself as “Google of seat views for sports and concert fans.” Aside form its exciting new features, SeatGeek is set to have a very exciting summer ahead of it.
Co-founder Russel D’souza has already disclosed that the latest investment will go to expansion in personnel and client lists as the site absorbs more events for its rapidly growing fanbase.
