There is a NYC Tech Talks Meetup this Tuesday featuring Hot Potato and MongoDB. While the RSVP count looks pretty low, it should be a good event to check out as these are both very promising VC-backed New York startups. MongoDB is an open source document-oriented database and is founded by Dwight Merriman who was the CTO and co-founder of DoubleClick (acquired by Google). Hot Potato is a newly launched startup that allows for a simple aggregation of comments, photos, and videos around an event. Further details are provided at http://nyte.ch/dgLj01.
