An Interview With Jeremy Bieger, Founder, UberTags

UberTags (UberTags.com) is a cloud-based Tag Management System that gives websites a dead easy way to deploy and manage code snippets (tags) including analytics tags, conversion tracking, retargeting, live chat, forms, widgets, video, and more. The technology lifts conversion rates by speeding page loads and drives operational efficiency by enabling instant tag launches via a web browser. We’re looking for sales and client mgmt., partners, and clients.

Tell me how it all started, where did your vision/inspiration come from?

The inspiration for UberTags came from experiencing tagging pain first hand when running the acquisition site at Amex. We had the trifecta of tagging pain: Tags slowed down the site. It took forever to launch tags because of release schedules. And we had a difficult time keeping track of which tags were on which pages, creating operational difficulties. It wasn’t just Amex. We experienced the same issues across sites, which convinced us it was a broader problem worth solving.

Why does the world need your product?  Why now?

Tagging is a mess on just about every large site we’ve run across. And since the number of 3rd party services to run a website is growing, the pain is only going to get worse.

What keeps you motivated?

Hands down, it’s when clients validate how much we have improved their business.

What is your favorite drink?

Fermented ones.
